• Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you back for another incredible school year. I hope you and your family are enjoying this beautiful weather and the remaining days of summer.

In my role as superintendent, I strive to create a school culture focused on the spirit of collaboration among teachers, staff, students, parents, and the administration. We will continue to focus on social and emotional learning, which aims to develop resiliency, responsible decision making, healthy relationships, and empathy. Finally, we strive to develop lifelong learners who value the importance of education.

As always our goal is to provide our students with a safe learning environment. There will be additional security upgrades for the 2019-2020 school year. In consultation with the police department, these enhancements include additional cameras and a new security visitor management system kiosk, which will be located in every school at the entrance.

It is with great pride that I share the new Demarest Middle School upgrades. The new drama and performing arts room has been completed, along with our renovated seventh grade science lab and newly created health and world language rooms. In addition, the gymnasium now has air conditioning. Finally, I would like to thank the very generous PTO for donating money toward a state of the art middle school playground and a renovated cafeteria.

We are happy to have new additions to our highly talented staff:
