• I am happy to be a part of the DMS team! I am entering my 22nd year as an educator. I look forward to a great year. Always feel free to contact me at polverej@nvnet.org with any questions or concerns.

    My philosophy of education:

In order for a student to have a successful school year, the following must occur:

    1) Students must show academic progress. Growth should be observable and documented for each learner throughout the school year. Academics and social/emotional well being are both important for a student to be successful.

    2) Each student should be happy to come to school each day. If this is not the case, it is my job, as the teacher, to work with that student to make sure the learning environment is an optimal one for him/her. Students spend many hours at school; it should be a positive experience.

    3) Communication between home and school is essential. Whether through email, phone calls, or meetings, issues and concerns should be addressed in order to help each child. Parents should be assured that I will be responsive to their questions and concerns.
