Students will have the opportunity to engage in the writing process in a variety of genres and styles. This class emphasizes student choice, peer collaboration, and independence, and also focuses on genres of writing not covered in Language Arts class such as blogging, memoirs, digital storytelling, different forms of poetry and more. In Creative Writing, students learn how to create a writing process that works for them, how to create systems to organize their writing, how to revise and edit, and how to give and receive feedback. Most importantly, students can let their imaginations run wild!
