WHAT IS BRAIN BUSTERS?
Brain busters is a competitive trivia team consisting of sharp-witted students from both the 7th and 8th grade. These students take part in competitions and attend the anual Valley Interdisciplinary Approach (VIA) Enginneering Convocation.
There two types of competitions, school vs. school and mixed school meets. During school vs. school meets the students from Haworth, Harrington Park, Norwood and Northvale compete against each other in a Team Jepardy style competition to anwer triva and curriculum based questions correctly. During mixed meets each team has students “mixed” with students from other schools. The competitions are an chance for the students to work and compete acedemically with other children from the surrounding schools.
