I'm so pleased to be returning to Demarest Public Schools this year. I will be working with students at Luther Lee Emerson School. Along with seeing students individually and in small groups, I will also be infusing into the classroom, allowing for greater integration of speech and language goals within the curriculum. I will also be completing speech and language evaluations for the district. I am passionate about making learning engaging and fun for my students--and believe it is imperative to tap into our children's natural curiosity and creativity as part of the learning process.
I received a BA from Sarah Lawrence College with a concentration in child development and neuropsychology, before pursuing a degree in Speech Langauge Pathology from New York Medical College. My professional interests include language development, the relationship between music and language, and play-based learning. Before entering the world of speech and language I was a professional musician. As a result, I like to bring music into my sessions.
Personally, I grew up in Bergen County and live with my husband and daughter. In our free time we like to play music and spend time with family and friends.
