Hello, my name is Kristin Lynn Konight and I have been the Media Specialist in the Demarest School Distirict for 18 years. I am so lucky to work with such wonderful and supportive colleagues and in this amazing community. I enjoy sparking my students' interests and imaginations through books. I love working in the Library and seeing all of the children in grades Pre School-Grade 4 each week. They really are great readers and they get so excited about choosing just the right books.

    I hold a BA in Elementary Education and English Literature and an Associate's Degree as a School Library Media Specialist from William Paterson Univeristy. Prior to teaching in Demarest I taught Reading and Langauge Arts in 8th grade and 6th grade in Palm City, Florida. I also worked for one year as a 6th grade Languge Arts teacher in Wyckoff.

    I am married and live in Hawthorne with my husband Larry and my two children, Erik (age 11) and Gabriella (age 7). We also have a sweet puppy named, Daisy. I love being a Mom and watching my kids grow. They have such amazing imaginations and I think they love books even more than I do. I enjoy reading and playing with my children, visting all the public libraries, being outside, learning about nature, playing volleyball, doing science experiments in the kitchen, spending time at the beach, swimming in the ocean, and doing yoga.
